If you'd like to delve deeper into learning about birds of the world and how to sketch them, check out my other online courses. Below you'll find descriptions of my most popular ones.

Sketching Backyard Birds for Beginners

The Sketching Backyard Birds for Beginners course is a comprehensive course that will give you all the skills you need to create accurate drawings of your feathered friends. It includes introductory workshops on all aspects of bird anatomy so that you can truly understand the structure of birds which will in turn give you the ease and confidence to draw them.

Sketching Backyard Birds for Beginners also includes detailed workshops on all the most common and widespread families of backyard birds found in North America and Eurasia – from thrushes to warblers and jays to doves.

Sketching Birds of the Neotropics

Sketching Birds of the Neotropics is my newest bird sketching course and comes bundled with the previously described course, Sketching Backyard Birds for Beginners, so it’s a great value.

This course focuses on bird families that are native or endemic to the Neotropics of Central and South America.

It includes over twenty 90-minute lessons on tropical families such as Quetzals, Trogons, Tanagers, Cotingas, Motmots, Manakins, Harpy Eagles, Hummingbirds, Parrots, Toucans, Antpittas, and Curassows, as well as families well-represented in the New World tropics including Vultures, Boobies, Flamingos, Flycatchers, Orioles, Finches, and Woodpeckers!

I chose this region since this is the area I’ve spent the most time traveling in as I study and sketch the birds I’ve seen in such diverse places as Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, and the Caribbean Islands.
