Intimidated by Sketching? Here's an Easy Tip!

Here's a quick tip video that was inspired during a hike near my home in central Oregon, where the volcanic rocks have fascinating shapes to study and sketch.

Below you can see my quick field sketches using two pairs of media; The sketch on the left was made with brown Faber-Castell felt tip pen and a uni POSCA opaque white pen for the highlights. The sketch on the right was made with black and white General's charcoal pencils. These tend to smear so I don't recommend this second technique for the field, but they ARE fun to experiment with!
