Introduction to Mammal Diversity

In this workshop, you’ll learn about the diversity of the world’s mammals – what unites them and what separates them from other vertebrate animals. First, we'll introduce the course, then cover the unifying characteristics of mammals, then do a survey of the major orders of mammals.

Lastly, we’ll practice quick field sketching techniques using examples from videos and the downloadable handouts below.
