Workshop 5: Drawing Moving Mammals

Drawing Moving Mammals

Today we will build upon last week’s workshop on the structure of mammals’ arms and legs to study different ways mammals move, including the gaits of running mammals. As usual, we’ll put this knowledge to use by sketching some mammals that move in different ways, such as arboreal primates and swimming otters to light-footed antelopes and hopping kangaroos!

-Please download the handouts then watch the videos.

Suggested homework: Watch and sketch the gaits of animals on the website of Minnesota Veterinary Anatomy website.
