Arctic Terns travel an astounding 25,000 miles roundtrip from their summer breeding grounds in the Arctic to their wintering grounds in the Antarctic.

Suggested supplies:

• Sketching pencil and kneadable eraser
• Watercolor or other favorite painting media
  • (I’m using a warm red, cool blue, and purplish grey)
• Sturdy paper and paper scraps for testing colors and techniques
• Small to medium size paint brushes
• Birthday candle or masking fluid as a paint resist
